The Stones of Camelot, Visitors Centre

LOCATION AND FORM
The project is located in South Cadbury, on a plain looking hill, on a place where the mythical castle of Camelot once stood.   It incorporated medieval ways of planning into modern architecture. The final form of a building has arisen from studying plans of medieval fortresses.
FLOORplan and functions
The whole premise is oriented around the courtyard. The central point of a project is an existing monumet made of stone, which is a memorial of what existed here.
Proposed building combines two functions: research centre located in a moon-like shaped part, facing the courtyard and a visitors centre within 5 cuboids dominating over the landscape, connected with one another through a dusky corridor in the underground level.
